One of the experiences that many tech enthusiasts enjoy are the ones in front of their home theatre system streaming the latest series. Careful thought goes into the selection of speakers, the receiver, and of course, the TV. And once you’re ready to enjoy your favourite Netflix series, the default is to turn the lights off or dim them. But what if we can make a smart lighting system part of that experience?
We learned a lot from our experience making Halloween scarier with a range of Philips Hue lighting products. We also learned that with the tight integration between the app, the bridge, and the lights, you could achieve a range of lighting experiences. So, when we discovered the Philips Hue Play HDMI Sync Box, that’s when a proverbial lightbulb went off.
We went to the Philips Hue website to get inspired and browse for ideas. The products are also available at retailers like Home Depot, Best Buy and Amazon.
Check out the video below to see how we created a next-level entertainment experience, Philips Hue Bridge required!
We also discovered that it all works with your gaming system too. Connect your Nintendo Switch, Xbox One Series X, or PlayStation 5, and you can be sure that every game night will be at your house.
Here are the products we selected to make it all come together.
The Philips Hue Play HDMI Sync Box makes everything work together and provides synchronization functionality with the visuals on the screen.
