There are so many truly wireless earbuds out on the market these days. It isn’t easy to decipher with so many brands to choose from and features and specifications to go through. It’s even more challenging to shop for that special someone on your holiday gift list. So, why don’t we make things simple?
I’ve had a chance to try on a lot of different truly wireless earbuds this year, and I’ve even had a chance to do a couple of full video reviews. But out of the bunch, these are the ones that stand out for me. This lot isn’t the most expensive, nor are they the least expensive. But I feel they give a good mix of features and value that should suit any budget. Check out the video below for all my picks.
Interested in any of the wireless earbuds I’ve talked about but not sure where to find them? I’ve got all the links below for you.
Cupertino’s latest true wireless earbuds of 2021 are the AirPods 3. If you are shopping for an iPhone user, these are the ones to get. That’s if they don’t already have them. They also work just fine on Android smartphones. At $239 CAD, they aren’t the least expensive, but they most certainly have all the bells and whistles if you are in the Apple ecosystem. Get them here.
Nothing is a new company with industry veteran Carl Pei at the helm. He’s known for his achievements at OnePlus and now he’s rolling out some of the most intriguing true wireless earbuds of 2021. The Nothing Ear (1) has a unique transparent casing design and features that rival even the Apple AirPods Pro. These were so interesting that I had to purchase a set for myself. Get them here.
Despite the specific way that Samsung wanted us to wear them, the Galaxy Buds Pro proved to be one of the best truly wireless earbuds for Android phones. This is especially true if you’re in the Samsung ecosystem. I had a lot of positive things to say about them in my review. For the most part, they have held up and have seen lots of firmware updates along the way as well. At $265 CAD, they are on the premium end, however. Get them here.
For a few dollars less at $189 CAD, you can get most features with the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2. They have a more straightforward design but the same great sound. You can check out Stephen’s review here. Get them here.
The latest Alexa device is a set of earbuds. The Amazon Echo Buds 2 offers a range of features you’d expect and one that no other truly wireless earbuds claim. Unlike other earbuds that call on a voice assistant, the Echo Buds 2 are a voice assistant. Ask it anything you’d ask your Echo smart speaker, and it can do it. The $179 CAD version comes with the charging case, and it’s the one to get. They often go on sale. Get them here.
The least expensive true wireless earbuds are last on our list only because of their price of $29 CAD. But they punch above their weight with surprisingly great audio. Sure, it doesn’t have some of the fancier features of the more expensive models here. But at this price, there can be no complaints. Get them here.
There are certainly a lot of great truly wireless earbuds out on the market, and we’re sorry that we didn’t get to all of them. We feel that these are safe choices for a lot of joy this holiday season.
