Not everyone can own a Tesla with Sentry Mode. For the rest of us, there are products like the VAVA 1080p Dual Dash Cam. This system features easy installation, night vision, and WiFi. The WiFi hooks up with a companion app, allowing you to download and even share videos directly from your smartphone. There’s no need to take out and potentially lose those little memory cards.
The VAVA 1080p Dual Dash Cam, as you guessed, has two cameras in the box. The front camera gives us a full 155-degree view of the road. Its parlour trick is being able to flip around 180 degrees, letting you record the passengers. There’s an internal battery onboard that works well together with the loop recording. This battery helps the camera turn on if someone attempts a ‘park and stay’ situation with your vehicle. Now you’ll have the proof you need to report any damage. The rear camera is extremely compact with a 126-degree field of view. Once mounted, you can barely notice it.
Both cameras record to a microSD card housed in the main unit. You’ll need it to be at least a Class 10 and no bigger than 128GB.
John is currently out testing this system, and he wants to know what you want to find out in the comments below. He’ll address them in his full review coming up soon.
