USB power banks have become ubiquitous with the wide adoption of smartphones, tablets, and other devices that seek a source of power when depleted. It’s challenging to find a power user without one in their bag. And they were incredibly popular during the first Pokemon Go explosion. The Logiix Piston Power USB Power Delivery (PD) series join the party with their take.
For the most part, USB power banks can charge anything that charges with a USB cable. Be it USB-A or USB-C. As long as it could be plugged in, it would eventually charge your device to full. Some devices, like the Logiix Piston Power USB Power Delivery series, can charge your device at an accelerated rate. Logiix says the 22W charging on their 20 model (20,000 mAh) can take a smartphone up to 72% in 45 minutes. The 10 model (10,000 mAh) has 16W charging and is just a bit slower. But both the 10 and 20 models are powerful enough to charge a laptop using USB-C. It won’t take your laptop to full, however, but it can top you up long enough to save your work and shut down safely.
The Logiix Piston Power USB Power Delivery Series comes in 10,000 mAh and 20,000 mAh capacities and starts at $59 CAD.
