The big food delivery services like ‘Skip the Dishes‘ and ‘Uber Eats’ have been in high demand. As local restaurants quickly get onboard with these platforms that expose them to a brand new customer base, some businesses are finding out the hard way what the cost is. If they are just hoping to stay afloat during these interesting times, the fees that our local eateries are paying might be destroying the already delicate margins in the business. We speak to Alex Fraser, a restaurant consultant from The Fifteen Group, to help us dive deeper into the problem and potential solutions.
Healthcare has seen a significant shift during the COVID-19 pandemic. The use of virtual healthcare or e-healthcare services in Canada has increased significantly. Dr. Richard Tytus sits on the medical board of Canada and is also the CEO of WeCareMD. He has seen a massive swell in the use of virtual healthcare services, and he’s confident this trend will not decrease but will increase once we start the road to normal. While some might see this as a decrease in the quality of healthcare, Dr. Tytus counters that with several good reasons why this might end up making everyone happier, especially the patients.
