Gamification is a technology used in many applications to get the best possible response from participants. Manulife has taken the technology and has created a new life insurance product called Vitality. The product uses gamification tracked by a smartwatch to help you lower your premiums. And the best part? They’ll give you a free Apple Watch to help you get started. We speak to Cheryl Abbot from Bloom Financial, a Manulife broker, to find out more about this innovative product, and how we can start saving money and get our hands on those watches.
Artificial Intelligence or AI may not have the best reputation in science fiction and movies. We usually end up with humanity being enslaved by sentient robots in those storylines. But the reality is a little different. A group of researchers at Mila in Montreal don’t believe they’ll turn on us for the time being. They are enlisting the help of AI to help us fight COVID-19. Sasha Luccioni, the Director of Scientific Projects at AI for Community at Mila, tells us how AI will significantly enhance humanity’s fight against our familiar foe.
Working from home and doing their part is Mike Agerbo, John Biehler and AJ Vickery. Very special thanks to Cheryl Abbot from Bloom Financial and Sascha Luccioni from Mila for being our guests this week.
