GetConnected was back at Global BC with some interesting transportation options. Mike and Sonia try out some new electric scooters on this week’s Tech Talk segment during the Global BC Noon News Hour.
Covered on the show were two electric scooter options. from Segway and Xiaomi. The Segway Ninebot Kickscooter ES1 has a 25 km/h top speed and a maximum range of 24 km on a full charge. It’s available from London Drugs in Canada.
The Xiaomi Mi Electric Scooter M365 also has a 25 km/h top speed, with a little more range at around 30 kilometres. You can find it on Amazon. Additional accessories shown on the Xiaomi include the phone mount from Gub and the waterproof storage bag. Both of these accessories are available from Amazon.
While our hosts were on a closed course for this segment, we always recommend wearing a helmet when scootering. And make sure you check with your local city or municipality regarding any laws before you take to the streets.
