Smart home products have become some of the most innovative and ubiquitous items in today’s households. From smart light bulbs to smart locks, cameras, and voice assistants, like Alexa and Google, these devices seek to make our lives better. While that is the dream, there are cases when these devices just don’t play well together. And because many of these devices are tied to a single user account, this can lead to conflicts with other household members. That’s why one company made it their mission to solve these problems, and they are called ‘Brilliant‘.
Brilliant seeks to create devices that allow you to set up a ‘smart home without the struggle’ and their device is truly simple. It takes the place of a regular light switch and replaces the deluge of apps and remotes with a single physical touch screen control panel. Because it’s a physical panel, the device allows everyone in the home to access the wonders of smart home technology, without having to log in and authenticate apps on their smartphones. We speak to Aaron Emigh, the CEO and co-founder of Brilliant, about where the inspiration for their products come from, and why they are changing the way we interact with smart home tech.
We’re inspired by what products like Brilliant bring to the smart home market. We hope that this paves the way for more innovation in user experience in this space. For more information on Brilliant, check out their website.
