This week, John discusses the brand new Wyze Outdoor Cam and a new trick for their older V2 Cam to make it into an inexpensive video conferencing webcam on Global BC’s Noon News program.

The firmware update information to allow the V2 to work as a webcam can be found here. As mentioned in the segment, you may also need to source a USB-A to USB-A cable which you can find at some dollar stores and here’s an example on Amazon. Just ensure it’s a USB 3.0 version (typically has a blue plastic part in the plug end as it seems to work better than the regular white ones for USB 2.0.
