If you’re interested in making music and have a MacBook Pro with a Touchbar, you may want to try out Samplr for Touchbar.
From the developer of the Samplr app (for iPad), it’s a fun way to play and experiment with audio samples right on your Touchbar. It’s a free application that actually has a lot of interesting features.
The multi-touch capabilities make for a surprisingly deep sample play back system as you can see in the demo video above. Multiple playback modes, a number of effects and you can also easily record audio into the app. It even comes with a big folder of demo samples to try with it out of the box.
The developer does state that this is version 1.0 with no support offered or future updates planned. But it’s a pretty fun app for zero dollars. If you want more functionality, you can also support them by purchasing the iPad version.
