Ring is the company that has all your smart home security covered. Founder and Chief Inventor, Jamie Siminoff started Ring with the Video Doorbell (hence the name, ‘Ring’) and his wife supported his vision, calling it “caller ID for the front door.” That’s what love looks like, everybody. Since then, the company has expanded its range for products that will help keep your home safe.
Recently, Ring added an outdoor security camera to its lineup – the Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro. This is an update to the original Ring Floodlight Cam that launched 4 years ago.
Ring added 3D Motion Detection powered by radar to this newer model, which allows users to customize areas to monitor on their property by selecting distance thresholds for visitors on your property. When someone crosses the threshold that you have set up, the Floodlight Cam Wired Pro will send users an alert.
There is also Bird’s eye view, which provides an aerial map view to detect motion in front of the Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro. This map can clearly show the path visitors take when visiting your property.
The Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro works seamlessly with other Ring devices and Amazon Alexa through the Ring app.
3D Motion Detection and Bird’s Eye View will also be available on the new Ring Video Doorbell Pro 2.
Another smart doorbell to talk about is The Ring Video Doorbell 4. This one features Pre-Roll technology, which will play an additional 4 seconds of video that records before motion is triggered. This way users can get more detail on what’s happening on their property. It also features Quick Replies, which basically turns your doorbell into an answering machine.
The Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro is available for pre-order at Ring.com and Amazon.ca for $324.99 CAD and will be shipping on May 6, 2021 and the original Ring Floodlight Cam gets a discount, shipping for $249.99.
The Ring Video Doorbell 4 can be pre-ordered for $259.99 and ships on April 28th!
