With the world still working from home, Zoom seems to the way we all end up connecting. It has made everything from work meetings to happy hours easy to manage and enjoy. Zoom is launching a suite of upgrades to help take your appearance and fun to the next level. Improved lighting capabilities, noise suppression, reactions, and filters are all be added to the platform.
Filters have become a pretty active part of our lives on social media. They provide lighting, borders, and even animated objects to enhance our posts. Well, now you can grow unicorn horns, have funny ears, or even add the funny mustache and hat combo. Although I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this for a board meeting it is a super fun way to upgrade your happy hour call or a catch up with friends. The color features will allow you to changed your video to black-and-white or even change the hue of the video should you want to show your creative side.
Until now, touch upon video has been available as an off or on the feature. This feature is something although I have tried, I really haven’t seen much use of. This feature is getting and upgraded to allow you to control the amount of touch up. Under video settings, you will find the touch-up feature and it will now have a sliding bar beside it so you can manage the level. You also now have the ability to adjust the lighting. Not all of us have the ability to be in a perfectly lit environment so you will be able to adjust your panel accordingly. Under video settings, there will be a new ‘adjust for low light’ option.
Background noise is a part of the conference cal life now. From cars driving by your window to the sounds of dogs barking, noise is everywhere. Under audio settings, you will be able to activate noise suppression and decide which level of suppression you will need.
Reactions will now be available. As no one wants to be the person on a call that shouts out in celebration, you can now add a reaction to show the person speaking that you excited for them. If you are showing a Powerpoint or Keynote presentation, moving your video to any part of the screen is now an option. Your video will overlay on the screen like you are your own sportscaster.
