How to pair a game controller to your Apple TV

Apple Support has published a new video showing how you can easily pair a wireless controller, such as an Xbox One or PS4 bluetooth controller with your AppleTV for a better experience with Apple Arcade.

As of this posting, this method doesn’t work with Nintendo Switch Pro controllers or the Joy Cons. It seems to be an issue on the Nintendo side, not Apple’s. It should work with any bluetooth controller, not just Xbox or Playstation branded ones though.
