It’s been a few weeks since Mike has gotten his hands on the Google Nest Audio. Since his initial unboxing and impressions, he’s had a chance to use it regularly around the house. In fact, he loves it so much, he got a second one.
The Google Nest Audio is the Mountain Valley, CA company’s latest smart speaker. Sitting between their Nest Mini and Nest Max units, the medium-sized speaker provides a lot more bass and volume than its predecessors, as Mike indicates. He seems happy with the overall performance and quality of the audio. The best part about the Nest Audio, in addition to refinements to its mics and responsiveness to voice commands, is its ability to be paired with another unit for a more immersive audio experience. The smart speaker also has a physical mic mute button if you don’t want Google listening in.
Constant improvements to the Google Home app have also made the Nest Audio a lot more useful and easier to set up than before. It seems to be catching up to Alexa in its ease of use with smart home device control.
The Google Nest Audio is available in a range of colours, and you should be able to pick one up from Google’s own store or from any retailer that offers smart home products.
