With retail environments just starting to reopen, the ability to regulate traffic is paramount to success. There is a fine line between needing your doors to open in order to generate revenue but also being cognizant as to how many people are in your building as to not break any rules. A Toronto based company may have the answer.
WXM has launched a solution for your retail business that will keep track of how many people are in it at once and let others know if it is safe to enter. Users can download the app in their respective App Store and it works with your BlueTooth.
There is a sign that hangs in the window of the business that will let patrons know if they are at capacity. This can be managed manually or through a mode called ‘counter mode’. Counter Mode allows the store owner to input a maximum number of customers within the store. As someone enters, you add one to the count until the max is reached. At this point the sign will turn red, letting those outside know to wait. When someone leaves you can take subtract one and the light will turn green.
The system between App and device is not automatic so there does need to be manual work involved. What it does, however, is allows the store personal the ability to communicate with would-be patrons.
TraffikFlo is designed in Canada and is FCC approved. What makes this product even cooler is that to purchase one is $90 CAD. Businesses are feeling some stress with having been closed. Trying to open and find ways to be profitable will be a challenge for the foreseeable future. At a small investment of $90, any small business can afford one of these. This will help keep both patrons and staff personnel safe as the world finds its new normal.
