As the world starts to reopen, it means that physical buildings will reopen. The traditional key has all but become extinct. There are now a variety of different ways to enter the building. WavLynx has a wide variety of Ethos readers. Thes products help people enter and exit buildings using fobs, access codes, and key cards. Now they have announced their MyPass Mobile.
Secure credentials are an important way of controlling access to certain buildings. With COVID-19, WaveLynx made the move to their app. The app works with the lineup of Ethos Wiegand/OSDP readers. They allow you one less touchpoint in your workday. As there are no subscription fees and all credentials are stored in the cloud, it is both safe and cost-effective.
The app is a Physical Access Control System. This will go a long way to helping those companies that are making the move back to the office. With guidelines as to how far apart we need to be, the number of people in a building, and so on, entry needed to be addressed. Rather than worrying about touching a number pad or using an exposed fob or keycard, your device is all that is required. Simply log in to the app and place it near the Ethos lock.
“As businesses and schools reopen, people are using their mobile devices to do more and touchless – we call it mobile distancing,” said WaveLynx Technologies, Executive Vice President, Laurie Aaron. “MyPass will help to support return-to-work and campus reopening by reducing contact with surfaces and creating a convenient, safe, and touch-less access experience.”
WaveLynx MyPass is available on the Apple App Store as well as the Google Play Store for download. If your company uses these products this is a great way to keep yourself safe during this time of transition.
