From movie factoids to the latest on your favourite celebrities, Google is a fountain of information. Now the tech giant is adding to its toolkit with People Cards, a great new feature that allows users to increase their online presence. The fun part is that anyone can make one.
You may have a website, social profiles, and some other things spread across the world wide web but that is just a start. People Cards are a great way to put all your main information in one place. It’s almost like having a digital business card. These cards are the go-to place for all of your high-level information. Whether you are a public figure, performer, a business professional or simply want to help people find your online vitals quickly, People Cards are a great solution.
To get started with People Cards, log on to your href=”https://myaccount.google.com/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Google Account, then enter “add me to search” and the prompt will appear. Build your profile by selecting images from your Google account or add new ones. From there you can add the platforms people can find you on. Your website, social profiles, occupation, and even an email address can be added. There is also the option to give yourself a write-up description for newcomers to see what you are all about. It is important to note that the more information you put in your People Card the easier it is for people to find you.
Only one People Card is available per Google account to help the integrity of the data being shown. There will also need to be a phone number for verification purposes to authenticate the account. If you come across a card that you did not create, you can contact Google through feedback to have it rectified.
People Cards seem like a great hub to find information on the people you are looking for. From Social Influencers to entrepreneurs, Cards will be a great way to get all the information you want to put out in the world in a place where it will be easy for anyone to find it.
