One of the biggest players in the television world has turned their attention to much smaller screens. The TCL 10 Pro and 10 L are the first batch of smartphones from the Chinese company.
Mike and John share their first thoughts on these compelling new Android phones in the video below.
We’ll be posting more in depth reviews once we’ve had a little more time with them.
There are some unique features these phones bring to the table including something called Super Bluetooth mode which gives you the ability to pair up to 4 bluetooth headsets or speakers so you can share the same music with your friends or fill up your house with music at a party. Very unique and we haven’t seen it on other smartphones before.
The cameras aren’t low end either.
The 10 Pro features a 64 megapixel Ultra High-res camera, a 16 megapixel super wide angle camera, a 5 megapixel macro camera and a 2.9 megapixel low-light video camera. Super Night Mode and Super Slow-Mo with 960 frames per second captures capable.
The 10L features a 48 megapixel camera, 8 megapixel super wide angle camera, 2 megapixel macro and a 2 megapixel depth camera.
TCL has priced these smartphones very competitively and if you’re able to take advantage of their current promotion and pick up a 10 Pro between July 10-16, you can also score yourself one of their TVs as a bonus to sweeten the deal.
More information on that promotion can be found at tclpromo.ca which does redirect to another site to handle the redemption.
According to TCL, they are available at Telus and Bell in Canada and only online currently though those carriers so you won’t find these in stores (yet).
The 10 Pro can be bought outright for $700 Cdn / $500 US (or ~$26 monthly via Bell or Telus) and the 10 L is available for $350 Cdn /$250 US (or ~$13 monthly via Bell or Telus).
Updated 07/17/20 to reflect availability being online only via the carriers.
