Layerboom – On the verge of a Big Bang
Cloud Computing is a buzz word that is about to go BIG in business. Tech guys and girls have known about this for years and people are finally starting to embrace it.
It’s the concept of no longer storing data on office hardware or running software from your computer. Instead you store and run your programs from the web. Essentially, you’re still storing this information on servers (but they are securely running everything from huge data centers behind massive firewalls…instead of under your desk or in the back storage area of your office).
The benefit of this? You can access your information more quickly and often cheaper, from any location in the world. You are no longer tied to your desk or even a single computing device like your laptop…I get goose bumps just thinking about it…out comes the TechLinz geek dance…boooya.
I’m thrilled to introduce you to Howie Wu. He’s a California native and founder of Layerboom a company the creates virtual private server clouds. He’s recognized the wave of cloud computing is about to come crashing in and he’s ready for it! His biggest challenge? Getting the rest of the world ready for it 😉
Let’s meet Howie…
